Fitability is now part of    more...
The ABC’s of establishing a good hiring process

Fitability Acquires Organizational Diagnostics Online, Inc.

The intellectual property acquired by Fitability in the purchase includes "state of the art" evaluation tools including the "PROFILER," a personality assessment. In addition, OD-Online co-founder Randall H. Lucius, Ph.D., has joined Fitability Systems as its director of Research.

Founded in 1996, OD-Online has performed more than 125,000 personality assessments over the Internet. This valuable research will enable Fitability to develop hundreds of behavioral profiles for different occupations. Fitability's clients will be able to make better hiring, promotion and employee placement decisions when using these profiles. Although the transaction involved both stock and cash, terms of the deal between the two private companies will not be disclosed.

Today more than 65% of Fortune 1,000 companies use psychological and behavioral assessment tools in their hiring and promotional processes. "This acquisition allows us to be one of the human capital management market leaders in delivering 'soft skills' assessments," said James R. Campbell, chairman and CEO. "Fitability has developed the most streamlined, easy to use on-line assessment and interview platform in the marketplace."

More than 500 hiring managers and recruiters from 21 companies currently use Fitability. The Fitability product improves its clients' hiring decisions by allowing them the ability to pre-qualify job candidates before choosing to interview them. The hiring manager can tailor their interview with information and a communication style most likely to appeal to a candidate they want to hire, and avoid spending valuable time with those they don't, based on this information provided. Each assessment takes less than 20 minutes of the candidate's time, and both hiring managers and recruiters can access the results instantly.

Fitability recently closed a $1.5 million second round of financing that included Southeastern Technology Fund and Orchard Capital Fund of Toronto, Canada.

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Fitability Systems is a leading provider of online interviewing and assessment services, enabling hiring managers and recruiters to evaluate the "fit" with their job and company prior to interviewing a candidate. Their flagship product shortens the time it takes to fill positions and reduces "bad hires" by giving employers an early indication of a candidate's likely "fit" for a job. Fitability is now being used by more than 500 hiring managers in telecommunications, financial services, and industrial supply firms. Fitability Systems has 21 corporate customers including Oracle, Ameritech, WW Grainger, and Curtis 1000.
